The Sport

Fiji Bodybuilding has been a prominent sport since the late 1950s. With the first Mr Fiji competition held in 1957, the sport has produced a number of prominent athletes, including Mr. Brian Knight, Mr. Vonoriti Radua, Mr Joseph Harigyan, Mr Ifireimi Koroiyale, Mr John Goulding, Mr Tasi Billiwaqa, Mr Inoke Ligairi, Ms Maryanne Moss Maáfu, Ms Elizabeth Maki and the late Jekesoni Yanuyanudrua.

Fiji has won a Gold Medal in the sport in the 1995 South Pacific Games, whilst also nabbing Silver medals in the 2015 South Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.

Our athletes have also won several regional competitions, including the Gold Medal at the 2016 South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships, as well as Mr South Pacific (late Jekesoni Yanuyanudrua) in 2018.
